Update (9:50 a.m.): Tickets for tonight’s show are available at Amoeba Hollywood, Fingerprints in Long Beach, Lou’s Records in Encinitas, M-Theory Music in San Diego, Mount Analog in Highland Park, Origami Vinyl in Echo Park, Rhino Records in Claremont and Vacation Vinyl in Silver Lake – with the purchase of “Amok” An announcement on the Atoms for Peace website said venue details would be available upon procurement of the ticket.
Atoms for Peace, the supergroup of Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Flea, Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco, are playing a show in Los Angeles tonight at “Club Amok.” Where’s that? It’s been the subject of guessing games since Yorke tweeted on Tuesday that the band would play a warm-up for its European dates. It’ll be the first show behind the February release of the new AFP album “Amok.” KROQ was holding a drawing for tickets earlier this week, and 98.7 FM was giving away tickets too. The Silverlake Conservatory of Music, of which Flea is a big supporter, was raffling off 100 tickets. Expect an announcement any minute. Meanwhile, the band has been posting some rehearsal videos.
