Stream: The Vaccines, ‘Melody Calling’

The Vaccines apparently spent some time in Los Angeles. Their new song “Melody Calling” sounds like it. The prolific London quartet, just getting into a busy run of summer festival performances, made the new song at Eldorado Studios in Burbank with producers John Hill (Rihanna, M.I.A, Santigold) and Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys). Having released two albums in two years, the quartet says that work on a third will probably not begin until 2014. They just added an L.A. date to their West Coast run in September, though – this new track will suffice as a sing-along until they get here.

The Vaccines are fantastic. I first noticed them on a commercial while in the UK and have been hooked ever since:
Really smart move on their part to get the licensing. Glad to know they are gaining in popularity.
