Video: The Orwells, ‘Blood Bubbles’

What’s that you ask? When did teenage punk rockers the Orwells turn into a female doo-wop trio? No, the young Chicago-based quartet aren’t actually the stars in this video, but the melodies and lyrics sure do come through even when a girl group is relaying the message. There’s a morbid touch here and there, but as you can see from the lead vocalist’s interpretation, these words are real as they are catchy. The Orwells’ “Other Voices” EP came out last month via East End/Canvasback.
