If it’s not obvious, the BBLA staff is comprised of dog lovers. To follow up today’s earlier flashy canine-centric clip, Julian Lynch’s Richard Law-directed video for his latest single “North Line” is a serene montage of the furry friends riding in the passenger seat. It’s simple and lovely despite contrasting with Lynch’s musically complex composition. Over the last five years, Lynch has put his PhD studies in Anthropology and Ethnomusicology to good use on previous albums such as “Terra,” “Mare” and “Orange You Glad.” World music vibes waft in and out via clarinets, saxophones and tape machines to give Lynch his distinctively swirling sound, and we have a feeling this video will leave us with some warm fuzzies too. “Lines” is out now via Underwater Peoples.
