It’s the final Monday of July:
‣Â System of a Down hasn’t released an album in seven years, but the band plays its only U.S. show of 2013 tonight at the Hollywood Bowl.
‣ It’s the big finale of Miner’s residency at the Bootleg Bar, where Yellow Red Sparks, yOya and Sami join in on the Buzz Bands LA-presented night. BBLA’s own DJ Bumbaclot spins between bands.
‣ Bad Rabbits, the quintet that describes itself as “post-R&B,” gets funky at the Troubadour behind its album “American Love.” Air Dubai and Sahtyre open.
‣ Tapioca & the Flea head up the lineup at It’s a School Night at Bardot, where they are joined by Astro, the Drowning Men and Breakfast.
‣ And July residencies also come to a close for Last American Buffalo (who are joined by Birds of a Black Feather, the Golden Ghosts and the Rebel Light at the Satellite) and the Absolute (at the Silverlake Lounge along with Nick Maybury & the Electric Church, Ainjel Emme and the Space Race).
