Tonight in L.A.: Jamie N Commons, Natalie Cole, Kopecky Family Band, Daniel Bedingfield, the Black & the White, Rick Ross, Magic Wands

What a wonderful Wednesday:

‣ Up-and-coming blues guy Jamie N Commons, whose music you’ve probably heard on myriad TV shows even if you didn’t know he was up-and-coming, headlines the Troubadour, with and Nightmare & the Cat opening. That’s Commons’ video for “Rumble and Sway,” above.
“An Evening With Natalie Cole” brings the singer to the Hollywood Bowl for some classic songs as well as numbers from her latest album, “Natalie Cole en Español.”
‣ Nashville indie-rockers Kopecky Family Band hit the Echo, supported by Said the Whale [see their video for “I Love You”] and visiting U.K. Afro-pop outfit the Melodic.
‣ U.K.-bred pop singer Daniel Bedingfield does a cozy show at Silverlake Lounge, where he’s joined by Tournament of Hearts, Armada and Dekades.
‣ And the Black & the White headline the Satellite, where they’re celebrating the release of their debut EP “Futures” and vowing to do a Bruce Cockburn cover. Now if they’d only stop rendering their name as THEblack&THEwhite.
