The Polyphonic Spree visit the El Rey Theatre behnd their new album “Yes, It’s True.” Opening are Harper Simon and Seryn.
‣ Bay Area garage-rocker Ty Segall [pictured] plays the Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock behind his new album “Sleeper,” with Electric Flower Group – now a three-piece with bassist Tom Biller joining singer-guitarist Imaad Wasif and drummer Josh Garza – opening with material from their forthcoming full-length.
‣ Another fun night in this summer’s Twilight Concert Series – Nick Waterhouse headlines the free show at the Santa Monica Pier, supported by the Boogaloo Assassins.
‣ With his sophomore album “The Ladder” just out this week, Chicago singer-songwriter Andrew Belle visits the Bootleg Bar, with Grizfolk supporting.
‣ Big local lineup at the Roxy features the Ceremonies, the Black & the White, the Filthy Souls and Dallas.
Hunter Hunted headlines the Pop Shop West show at the Echo, supported by Honeymoon and Basic Vacation.
‣ And “The Kennedy Administration” – the variety show hosted by local singer-songwriter Kennedy – goes off at Echoes Under Sunset with Chhom Nimol and Zac Holtzman of Dengue Fever as musical guests
