‣ The 75th annual Chinatown Mid-Autumn Moon Festival brings seven bands – including Kan Wakan, the Little Ones, Body Parts, Avid Dancer, Black Hi-Lighter, Northern American and Victory – to the LA Weekly Live Music Stage at a free, all-ages event that includes cultural activities, a culinary stage, the Dragon Dance and much more. We suspect there will be moon cakes involved too.
‣ Big Black Delta does an installment of Saturdays Off the 405 at the Getty Center.
‣ Tarfest returns to the La Brea Tar Pits Park, with music from Saint Motel, Nightmare Air, Echosmith, Tapioca & the Flea and Irontom.
‣Â The Beach Ball Festival at the Santa Monica Pier boasts a lineup including Aloe Black, Allen Stone, Maceo Parker, Lee Fields & the Expressions and more.
‣ Diana Krall holds forth at the Greek Theatre.
‣ At the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, it’s the Epicenter Festival, with the Offspring, A Day to Remember, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Pierce the Veil, All Time Low, Falling in Reverse, the Wonder Years, FIDLAR and more at the Epicenter Festival at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
‣ Dublab’s 14th Anniversary Celebration goes off at Maker City LA (1933 S. Broadway, 11th floor)
‣ The second Venice Music Crawl brings more than 60 bands – including Keaton Simons, Jenni Alpert, Das Tapes, Walla, Omniflux, Kid Cadaver, Sea Lions, Yoya, LA Font and Spaceships – to various locations along Lincoln Boulevard in Venice.
