I’ll start today’s Buzz Bands LA Show with an indie artist whose song I heard between innings last week at Dodger Stadium, which is not exactly a haven for indie music. I’ll end it with one L.A. artist remixing another L.A. artist. In between those songs – by Victory and RAJ, respectively – there will be myriad flavors of SoCal music, including new tunes from Cillie Barnes, LA Font, Kitten, Tic Tic Boom!, Distant Cousins, Ranger, Starsystem, Patrick Park, Mirror Talk, Ofelia and State to State. In addition, there will be a block of music from bands doing Monday night residencies (Haunted Summer, Spirit Vine, Max and the Moon and PLUS), and a new song from a quartet of L.A. old-schoolers, the Last. So tune in to The Independent FM at 11 a.m. for this week’s eclectic show. Unless I’m not allowed to use that word. Then I’ll call it diverse.
