‣ Exiled Tuareg rock quartet Terakaft bring their droney desert rock to the at the El Rey Theatre.
‣ The Meat Puppets visit the Echo behind their latest release, “Rat Farm.” The World Takes, Golden Sombrero and Ward Dotson support.
‣ Portland-based folk rockers Blitzen Trapper have a new album out, “VII” (yes, it’s their seventh), and they hold forth at the Troubadour with the Alialujah Choir supporting.
‣ U.K. folk revivalists the Melodic [see Tuesday’s post] headline the Bootleg Bar, supported by Irene Diaz and Sister Rogers.
‣ And Valley-based folk band Run River North, whose debut album is en route in February on Nettwerk, kicks off a Wednesday night residency at the Hotel Cafe on a night that also features singer-songwriter Cathy Heller.
