Wymond Miles, who is also known as lead guitarist of San Francisco’s the Fresh & Onlys, has churned out another solo album titled “Cut Yourself Free” to follow up last year’s “Under the Pale Moon.” Just in time to kick off his new tour with Crocodiles, Miles released a video for “Night Drives.” Sticking to a genre he knows best, Miles dives into more psych-pop, this time with a darker palette, and he has the visual aesthetic to match. Its accompanying Ryan Brown-directed video with a trippy interstellar theme is appropriate for the new synth sheen Miles has given this batch of songs. Not sure if everyone’s late night drives are similarly looking, but Miles is sure going for a Robert Smith via Beetlejuice look more and more these days with that hair.
