If you’re watching this video above for the haunting song “This Stone Is Starting To Bleed,” and you find yourself wondering what the Duke Spirit has been up to lately, it’s not a coincidence. The single is by London’s Roman Remains, a duo who shares members Liela Moss and Toby Butler of the Duke Spirit, and they’ve already released a 4-track EP titled “Energy You.” Whereas the Duke Spirit’s garage spirit had swagger and grit, Moss and Butler’s collaboration features an energy that derives from an industrial-influenced electronic palette. Directed by Marcus McSweeney, the track’s visual accompaniment even illustrates an ominous vibe with a shaman on the loose. Fans of the Duke Spirit can be reassured of one thing though; Roman Remains still boasts those smoky vocals from Moss. “Energy You” is out now via HOT Records Limited.
