Irish singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor, succumbing to a bout with laryngitis, has scotched five remaining dates on her North American tour, including Sunday’s show at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State L.A.
A statement from her publicist this morning said that the 46-year-old singer would “regretfully be forced to cancel her remaining North American tour dates in Los Angeles, Solana Beach and San Francisco, as well as her two Canadian concerts in Oakville, Ontario” because she “has been diagnosed with acute laryngitis and the doctor has ordered complete rest to make a full recovery. The singer extends her deepest apologies to fans for the last-minute cancellations.” O’Connor had been touring behind her latest album, 2012’s “How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?”
