‣ Music, art and social-media provocateur Amanda Palmer headlines a night titled “A Total Disruption” at the Echoplex – it features DJ sets from Shepard Fairey, screenings of short films by Ondi Timoner (“Dig! We Live in Public”), a talk by Reddit’s Alexis Ohanian and more. Palmer recently released a three-disc set “An Evening With Neil Gaiman & Amanda Palmer .”
Jeff Tweedy holds forth at the Largo at the Coronet. His sets on this tour have been widely varied.
‣ San Luis Obispo-bred quint Night Riots (f/k/a PK) rock the Roxy behind their recent EP “Young Lore,” supported by Lyrica Anderson, David Jicha, Gabby Sol and Ladyfingers.
The Peach Kings continue their Sunday night residency at the Bootleg Bar with a jam-packed lineup featuring Wake Up Lucid, Davis Fetter and Lily Kershaw at the Bootleg Bar
‣ Stoner-rock stalwarts Dead Meadow celebrate their new album “Warble Womb” with a show at a downtown gallery.
‣ And NYC duo Minks brings the ’80s stylings on their new album “Tides End” to Part Time Punks at the Echo, supported by Catwalk and Drab Majesty.
