‣ Andrew Bird [pictured] brings his show titled “Gezelligheid” (it translates to “cozy”) to the Immanuel Presbyterian Church – Bird, who recently released the EP “I Want to See Pulaski at Night,” offers up instrumental violin pieces accented by horns. Tift Merritt opens.
‣ At Club Nokia, it’s Chance the Rapper’s Social Experiment.
‣ Malaysian singer Yuna [see our post on “Rescue”] headlines the Bootleg Theater, supported by Monogem.
‣ Iggy Azalea, with a fresh album “The New Classic” on its way next year, plays the Fonda Theatre.
‣ Swedish quartet Holograms rock the Echo behind their sophomore album “Forever,” with TV Ghost and Heaven supporting.
‣ And at the Echoplex, it’s tribute to the late Bill Bartell, the punk pioneer (White Flag) who died in September at age 52. The Germs (with Charlotte Coffey), Redd Kross, the surviving members of White Flag (Jello, Trace, Mike & Friends) and Sérgio Dias of Os Mutantes. It’s a benefit for Sweet Relief.
