KCSNnew-large copyCan’t for the life of me find my Santa hat, but I’m in the spirit anyway on this final Sunday before Christmas. Join me at 9 tonight on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) for a special, garland-draped edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show. This week’s hour of tunes from SoCal artists features a host of festive holiday songs, mostly about Christmas and mostly new, original compositions. Oh, I’ll have some interesting twists on familiar songs – including recent outings from Dengue Fever, Jeff Schroeder and the Majestic High and the Dollyrots. But I’ll mix in some new stuff as well, including songs from Eastern Conference Champions, Arrica Rose, Victory, Duniven and the Blank Tapes. Grab some egg nog and curl up by the fire.

After the jump, tonight’s playlist:

Jeff Schroeder and the Majestic High, “Christmas Time Is Here (ftr. Wayne Everett)”
Dengue Fever, “Little Drummer Boy”
Eastern Conference Champions, “Saving Christmas”
The Dollyrots, “I Saw Mommy Biting Santa Claus”
The Soul of John Black, “Santa Claus Needs Some Lovin'”
Ceci Bastida, “Un Regálo Para Mí (A Present For Me)”
Echosmith, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas”
Duniven, “Spirit of Christmas”
The Blank Tapes, “No Hifts This Xmas”
The Jigsaw Seen, “What About Christmas?”
The Softlightes, “Last Xmas”
Aaron Embry, “Little Drummer Brother”
Anny Celsi, “Christmas in the Pines”
Victory, “Just Want You Here at Christmas”
Arrica Rose, “Corporate Outta Xmas”

… and more …
