Ben Cassorla has made all sorts of friends out on the road. He’s played with everyone from Slick Rick to Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, but he’s also been churning out solo material. The latter initially and mostly involved recording catchy demos and creating music videos via Microsoft Paint, but Cassorla’s decided to let a bunch of his friends in to record with him this time around. Appropriately titled “Amigos,” Cassorla’s latest EP boasts collaborations with Aubrey Plaza (NBC’s “Parks and Recreation”), Eric Earley from Blitzen Trapper, Taylor Goldsmith from Dawes, Crash from Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Krystle Warren, Henry Wolfe and Elizaveta. We previously heard the track “I Am,” and now we get another delightfully wonky audio slice titled “Bona Fide” featuring Aubrey Plaza on saxophone. “Amigos” is slated for a Feb. 4 release.
