We remain just as disinterested in hearing every silly remix that lands on Soundcloud as we are in hearing the Eagles’ “Hotel California” for the zillionth time. That said, electro mad scientist Baron von Luxxury – aka Blake Robin – has, well, a way with things. For lack of a better description. He up to the eighth in his series of “Luxxury Edits” now, and with the Eagles barging into the Forum for a series of shows starting this week, it’s a nice occasion to share. Of his take on the 37-year-old chestnut, Baron von Luxxury writes: “Having access to the multi-tracks helped, as I was able to take out some of the more annoying hippie sh*t and replace it with some f*cking vocoders and Moroder-y synth bass. The result is an extremely slow (82 bpm) and dreamy disco edit.”
