‣ Volcano Choir [pictured], the collaboration between Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and Collections of Colonies of Bees, headlines the Fonda Theatre in support of their sophomore album “Repave.” Minneapolis’ The Cloak Ox open.
‣ Gungor, led by multi-instrumentalist Michael Gungor, plays the El Rey Theatre in support of the new album “I Am Mountain.” Kye Kye supports.
‣ The Front Bottoms of New Jersey bring their Hot Chocolate Tour to the Troubadour. They’ll be playing songs off of their latest record “Talon of the Hawk.” Also on the bill: The Wild and You Blew It!
‣ Harriet returns to the Bootleg with a bunch of new songs. Fellow Angelenos the Americans and Z Berg (of the Like) open.
‣ More L.A. bands Modern Time Machines, Wilding, Light FM and Omniflux all team up at the Silverlake Lounge.
‣ And you’ve got Rich Aucoin, Yell For Help and Levels at the Satellite.
