‣ Rappers RL Grime and Salva do a sold-out show at the El Rey Theatre, the first of two nights there.
‣ Imagine Dragons play the Wiltern, supported by Kongos. Above, Imagine Dragons’ video for “Demons.”
‣ Heidecker & Wood – that’s Tim Heidecker (the actor-director who’s one-half of the comedy duo Tim & Eric) and David Wood (of “Tim & Eric’s Awesome Show,” et al), along with a live band that includes guitarist Mike Bloom, basist Pierre De Reeder and drummer Jason Boesel – play the Echoplex behind their new album “Some Things Never Stay the Same.”
‣ Indie rockers Francisco the Man, a full-length album in the works for later this year, headline the Bootleg Bar, supported by No Silver Bird and Wax Children.
‣ San Diego’s Belmont Lights headlines the Troubadour to celebrate the release of their album “Empyrean Kings.” Pebaluna, the Donnies the Amys, Chris Lightfoot and Carson Henley support.
