If you thought Nashville only strummed their stories into ballads, then indie-pop outfit Wild Cub will pop that stereotypical bubble. Comprised of members Keegan DeWitt, Jeremy Bullock, Dabney Morris, Harry West and Eric Wilson, Wild Cub’s use of colorful synths, warm harmonies and clap-happy sing-a-long choruses invoke only the happiest of teenage memories. Perhaps this is why their debut is titled “Youth.” The band’s lead single “Thunder Clatter” could very well be the soundtrack to the most spontaneous moment of someone’s coming-of-age story. If not that, then most certainly something else wonderfully memorable. Wild Cub’s album “Youth,” which also includes the Jim Eno-produced track “Lies,” Â is out now via Mom + Pop.
