The first month of 2014 is in the books, and it brought a deluge of great music into our lives. On today’s Buzz Bands LA Show on The Independent FM, I’ll share some of it, including new tunes from Meg Myers, Jessica Childress, NO, Jonny Polonsky, Bootstraps and Well Hung Heart. There will be two special segments with music from the bands playing this weekend’s Chinese New Year Festival in Chinatown (see you there, right?), and another with songs from four bands doing February residencies – Kan Wakan, Kera & the Lesbians, the Belle Brigade and Busy Living.
