Welcome to February and its first wicked busy Monday:

‣ Baltimore electro-pop band Future Islands, recently signed to 4AD and with the album “Singles” coming in March, plays a sold-out shows at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock. That’s the video for “Seasons (Waiting on You),” above.
Moses Sumney heads up a special edition of It’s a School Night, which goes off at Avalon Hollywood, downstairs from its usual location at Bardot. Gavin Turek, Evan Mellows and Miriam Bryant also perform.
Kan Wakan kicks off its residency at the Echoplex with a formidable supporting cast that includes James Supercave, Only You and Incan Abraham.
‣ Upstairs at the Echo, Kera & the Lesbians have the residency, kicking it off tonight with Santoros, Mr. Elevator & the Brain Hotel and Crown Plaza.
‣ Young Afropunk duo the Bots, working on a new EP and Coachella-bound, play a free show at the Bootleg Bar, supported by Vaude.
Busy Living [see last week’s post] starts its residency at the Satellite, supported by Z Berg, the Relationship and the Lower 48.
‣ And the residency at the Silverlake Lounge features the New Electric Sound [see “Maybe”], supported on opening night by Ride the Wave, the Elovay and Za.
