Video: Mystery Skulls, ‘Ghost’

Luis Dubuc’s music as Mystery Skulls is the stuff of electro-pop dreams, all candy-coated melodies and updated ’80s production and giddy rhythms. But Mystery Skulls’ major-label debut, the single “Ghost,” is a nightmare – well, the video is, anyway. Dubuc wrote the song in Dallas before he disappeared in favor of L.A. “The song is about the idea of basically moving away and not telling a single person,” he says. The video, starring Robert Pill, directed by Josh Thomas and made in conjunction with the film company Oh Yeah Wow (Gotye, Slash, Aloe Blacc, Passenger), riffs on “The Exorcist.” Can you dance the demons away? Well, you decide. There are seven or so remixes in the pipeline for “Ghost,” so the specter of Mystery Skulls won’t be disappearing anytime soon.||| Previously: “When I’m With You”
