Futuristic music, meet fossils. The second First Fridays event of 2014 at the Natural History Museum offered an interesting juxtaposition – music from two forward-thinking electronic acts in a setting devoted to history, some of which is millions of years old. It wasn’t so unnatural, with Will Wiesenfeld’s Baths dispensing their melancholy compositions after a set of wonky psychedelia from the husband-and-wife duo Peaking Lights. The museum’s series continues March 7 with Brooklyn’s San Fermin headlining a night that includes music from Son Lux and Wild Up.
