You can certainly discern the folk background in this electronic collaboration. Made of Oak’s Nick Sanborn and Mountain Man’s Amelia Meath have joined forces as Sylvan Esso to elaborate on their raw like-minded momentum to produce finely layered compositions. The North Carolina-based duo is pleasantly synced on instinct, offering a genuine connection to their stripped-down, pulsing electronica. With Meath’s pristine vocals escorted by Sanborn’s lullaby beats, the result is an atmospheric, warmly toned listening experience that leaves your whole body in a dream state. Having recently signed with Partisan Records, Sylvan Esso is releasing a “Coffee / Dress” 12″ on March 25 and just announced their debut LP, scheduled for release on May 13.
