Ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in Valentine’s daze:
‣ Spiritualized christens the new Theatre at Ace Hotel (the renovated United Artists Theatre on Broadway in downtown L.A.) by doing a show in which the band performs its 1997 album “Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space.”
‣ Imagine Dragons head up a big night at the Forum that features the Naked and Famous and Nico Vega.
‣ Turn it up at the Viper Room: Eagles of Death Metal warm up for a tour in Australia and New Zealand by rocking the Sunset Strip.
‣ Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro [pictured] headline the El Rey Theatre behind their new album “Opposites,” with Morning Parade opening.
‣ Hardcore quintet Touché Amoré roars into the Ukrainian Cultural Center, supported by MewithoutYou, Seahaven and Drug Church.
‣ Dance your Feb. 14 away: The Echo’s popular Funky Sole night moves to Grand Park in downtown L.A. for a free show that sees their ace DJs spinning around live sets from funk maestros the Breakestra and Orgone.
‣ Stellar night of local rock at the Satellite, with King Washington headlining a bill that includes the Peach Kings, Decorator and Brothers Zmed.
‣ And the Vivian Girls do their goodbye show at the Church on York. Breaking up, they are. On Valentine’s Day.
