‣ London duo Public Service Broadcasting mixes electronic instrumentation and samples with piano, guitar and banjo and sets their music to old public information films. PBS visits It’s a School Night at Bardot, along with Scavenger Hunt, Jess Williamson and RF Shannon. That’s the “educational” video for “Everest,” above, based on the ill-fated 1924 expedition to the world’s highest peak. [Public Service Broadcasting also plays Wednesday at the Bootleg.]
