Above:Â That’s Sleeper Agent‘s new video for “Waves.” The Bowling Green, Ky.,-based sextet stops by Bardot for It’s a School Night in support of their forthcoming second album “About Last Night.” The record is slated for a March 25 via RCA.
Our staff picks of the week:
@KRBronson recommends: Kan Wakan closes out its Echoplex residency in a big way Monday night. The L.A. septet, with an album on the way in April, will be joined by a string orchestra for their set. Holy Folk will open, and there are not one but two “special guests,” whom we are assured are very special. Oh, and it’s free.
@Seraphina_L recommends:  The Japanese and NYC-based duo Cibo Matto returns with a new album for the first time in 15 years. “Hotel Valentine,” their follow-up to the highly-regarded 1999 release “Stereo Type A,” is being supported by a winter and spring tour. They do another SoCal date this week with a stop at the El Rey Theatre on Monday. “Hotel Valentine” is out now via Chimera Music.
