‣ Young punk-rockers the Strypes headline the El Rey Theatre. Dinosaur Pile Up support.
‣ It’s a School Night hosts another weekly event at Bardot. Tonight they’ve got newly transplanted Zella Day. Also on deck: Saintseneca (who also has a set at Amoeba earlier in the evening), Doja Cat and Finley Knight.
‣ It’s another night of excellent and free shows: Moses Sumney winds up his residency at the Bootleg with Brandon Coleman, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and Kan Wakan opening; James Supercave close their residency over at the Echo with support from MT. OSSA, Gothic Tropic and HEALTH‘s John Famiglietti spinning a closing DJ set; Eagle Rock Gospel Singers [pictured above] close out their month at the Satellite with pals Sam Outlaw, Maesa and Grand Vanity.
‣ And Moons of Mars celebrate the release of their new single “Life Is a Mystery” at the Silverlake Lounge. Faux Chaud, Water District and Steffaloo also play.
