Big Thursday night ahead:
‣ It’s time again for the Petty Fest, a celebration of the the music of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers that benefits Sweet Relief and the Sweet Relief Musicians Fun. The show at the El Rey Theatre features special guests such as  Flea, Albert Hammond Jr., Brendan Benson, Nikki Lane, Dhani Harrison, Butch Walker, Ruby Amanfu, Eric Pulido of Midlake, James Valentine of Maroon 5, Pete Yorn, Matt Sorum & Ace Harper, Lukas Nelson, Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara, Danny Clinch and more.
‣ With her Grammy-winning, Daniel Lanois-produced album “Wrecking Ball” just reissued, Emmylou Harris and Lanois kick off a seven-date tour at the Wiltern.
‣ Local rock quartet Black Hi-Lighter hosts an evening at the Belasco Theatre downtown with a lineup that includes the Moth & the Flame, Seven Saturdays and Psychic Love.
‣ The Mavericks celebrate a quarter-century of making music by bringing their “Twenty-Five Live Tour” to the Fonda Theatre. The Grammy Award-winning band reassembled after a long hiatus to release “In Time” last year; it was their first album in 10 years.
‣ Seattle-based production duo Odesza headlines the Echoplex, supported by D33J and Kodak to Graph. Above is the video for the title track of their EP, “My Friends Never Die.”
‣ Echo Park record outlet Origami Vinyl celebrates its fifth birthday at the Echo with a lineup that includes Liphemra, Kera & the Lesbians and Plague Vendor.
‣ And Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter Casey Dienel – dba White Hinterland – visits the Bootleg Bar behind her new album “Baby.”
