It’s Easter, it’s 4/20 and it’s a good day for an anniversary party:
‣ Ten years ago next week, a great little band from Hawthorne played Coachella on the strength of its its debut album. Dios, who were later known as Dios (Malos) after they got some legal flak from Ronnie James Dio over their name, reunites tonight to mark the 10-year anniversary of their their debut album. They play an early (4:30 p.m.) show at the Echo, supported by So Many Wizards, Mr. Elevator & the Brain Hotel and Heaven Lindsey-Burtch.
‣ Speaking of Coachella, the festival wraps up its 2014 edition with Arcade Fire, Beck, Calvin Harris Disclosure, Motorhead, Lana Del Rey and more.
‣ Howls – that’s the new project from Christian Stone and Annalee Fery – play tonight at the Mint along with Free Dominguez (ex-Kidneythieves).
‣ And in Part Time Punks’ late show at the Echo, it’s WL (members of Blouse), Colleen Green and Darklands at the Echo (Late Show)
