Here’s what’s up on a fun-filled Friday:

‣ The Stagecoach festival kicks off at the Empire Polo Club, with Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Shelby Lynne and Lynyrd Skynyrd among the artist performing on opening night.
‣ Road trip? The National and Portugal. The Man play the Santa Barbara Bowl.
‣ Deafheaven bring their dark metal to the El Rey Theatre.
‣ The Dandy Warhols, who just released a live album, do th first of two sold-out night at the Roxy Theatre, supported by the Warlocks.
‣ The Beta Machine –  the project of Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl, the rhythm section for Puscifer, A Perfect Circle and Carina Round – make their live debut at the Viper Room, supported by Battle Tapes and Omniflux.
‣ Hurray for the Riff Raff – that’s folk singer Alynda Lee Segarra and friends, visit the Echo behind the new album “Small Town Heroes.” Clear Plastic Masks open. Above, the video for “End of the Line.”
‣ Beach Party, celebrating its EP release, heads up big local lineup at the Echoplex, where they’re joined by Cherry Glazerr, Kiki Pau, Raw Geronimo and Kikagaku Moyo.
‣ Upset (members of Best Coast/Vivian Girls, La Sera and Hole) headline the Satellite, supported by the Lovely Bad Things, Girl Tears and Flytraps.
‣ Okapi Sun, whose debut comes out next week on Phaedra Records, celebrates at the Silverlake Lounge, supported by Jesika Von Rabbit, Light FM, Vanity Police and Autorall.
‣ And Nicky Blitz heads up the party at the Bootleg Bar, with Babes and Decorator opening.
