There’s a special L.A. Buzz Bands Show in store tonight – it’s KCSN’s spring membership drive, so along with an hour of the latest and greatest local music I’ll be asking you to help support Los Angeles’ only 24/7 music station. It’s listener-supported radio, after all, and as the L.A. Buzz Bands Show nears its third anniversary on the FM airwaves, becoming a donor is the perfect way to show you care. And there are plenty of premiums available for those who become contributing members – from CDs, boxed sets, vinyl and books to restaurant certificates and concert tickets. Go here to find out how KCSN is saying thank-you. In addition to that swag, everyone who donates a minimum of $50 gets the “KCSN Sampler Vol. VI,” with songs from Broken Bells, Rosanne Cash, the Civil Wars, Kaiser Chiefs, Drive-By Truckers, Broods, Bonnie Raitt and more.

Call 1-800-795-5276 to become a member.

Tonight won’t be all chatter, though – in fact, we keep our pitching to a minimum. So tune in at 9 p.m. (that’s 88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) for new music from Torches, Kitten, Black Hi-Lighter, Babes, Crash, Gina Villalobos and more. After the jump, tonight’s tentative playlist:

Babes, “ATMO”
Torches, “Endlessly Repeating”
Kitten, “G#” (new version)
Beach Party, “Can’t Surf”
Crash, “High Wall”
Gina Villalobos, “Everything I Want”
Charlie Wadhams, “Replaced”
Distant Cousins, “On Your Own”
Gold Star, “Sadie”
Magic Wands, “On the Telephone”
Black Hi-Lighter, “I Got Tired (It Hurt So Bad)”
DWNTWN, “Missing You”

Thanks for listening ….
