My, what a busy morning you have ahead.

About the same time the Coachella presale goes live – 10 a.m. – the lineup for this year’s FYF Fest will be announced when FYF founder Sean Carlson appears on KCRW to divulge who will play the Aug. 23-24 event in downtown Los Angeles.

FYF Fest this year moves from Los Angeles State Historic Park to a new location, the L.A. Sports Arena & Exposition Park, so the layout of the festival will be of interest as well. The only confirmed artist so far is Built to Spill, the indie-rock veterans who announced their FYF date with their summer tour itinerary. Their participation was tacitly confirmed when FYF posted the video for the 1999 nugget “The Plan” on its site Thursday.

We’re betting Slowdive will be our highlight. But as they say, stay tuned.
