Greg Allman, Shelby Lynne and Wynonna to play free ‘Country in the City’ series at the Annenberg

Live music returns to Century City’s Annenberg Space for Photography this summer when Gregg Allman, Shelby Lynne and Wynonna & the Big Noise headline shows in conjunction with the music’s exhibition “Country: Portraits of an American Sound.”
Two years ago, the Annenberg staged wildly popular shows to go along with its exhibition “Who Shot Rock & Roll.” This time, the get their twang on with a three-Saturday series titled “Country in the City,” starting with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Allman on July 19. The lineup:
July 19: Gregg Allman, with Sturgill Simpson opening
July 26: Shelby Lynne, with Jamestown Revival opening
Aug. 2: Wynonna & the Big Noise, with Nikki Lane opening
The shows are free, but an RSVP to KCRW.com is required. Registration is required for each show, and wristbands will be issued to those on the list at check-in, on a first-come first-served basis.
