On Thursday, there’s the legendary Richard Thompson at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park (or Cults/ James Supercave at the Santa Monica Pier, or De Lux at the Hammer Museum). Then on Saturday, come see us at Chinatown Summer Nights – six bands starting at 6 p.m., including Eastern Conference Champions, Madi Diaz, Francisco the Man, Afternoons, Black Apples and Wet & Reckless.

@Seraphina_L recommends: If you’re looking to get rowdy then head over to the Roxy on Tuesday or Wednesday (or both nights) for a pairing of Cloud Nothings – who are touring in support of their latest album “Here and Nowhere Else” – and noise rock trio METZ. Otherwise, if you’re looking for something with more of a dramatic pathos, then Wye Oak at the El Rey Theatre on Thursday is one way to go. Wye Oak will be playing songs off their new album “Shriek.”
