A Thursday that almost feels like a holiday:
‣ Malaysian singer Yuna will get all “Nocturnal” (the title of her breakthrough album) in the “Twilight” (the name of the concert series at the Santa Monica Pier. Week 2 of the free series also feature L.A. soul trio KING Above, Yuna’s new video for “Come Back.”
‣ Robert Francis & the Night Tide play their first L.A. show since last month’s release of their new album “Heaven.” They’re at the Troubadour supported by Bootstraps, Vikesh Kapoor and Maxim Ludwig.
‣ Alex Ebert (of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) and his label Community Music host the “Made in L.A.” night Thursday at the Hammer Museum, with sets from Crash, Jena Malone’s the Shoe and My Hawaii. It’s a free evening.
‣ Loudon Wainwright III does a free show under the stars at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park.
‣ Dublab and DJ Carlos Niño host a great night at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena, with Kamasi Washington and Teebs Band.
‣ What has become an annual gathering of ’90s hitmakers, the Summerland Tour, brings Everclear, Soul Asylum, Eve 6 and Spacehog to the House of Blues Sunset Strip.
‣ And the Ruse is headlining, but we suspect there will be many early arrivals at the Satellite tonight for Dorothy.
