@KRBronson recommends: Zola Jesus this week kicks off a huge tour behind her new album “Taiga,” visiting the El Rey Theatre on Thursday. Her fifth album, and the first since she signed to Mute, is at once ambitious and accessible, with arching themes set to big beats, horns and her booming vocals. She’ll tour with a live brass ensemble. Check out “Dangerous Days” here.

@Seraphina_L recommends: Belle & Sebastian stop by the Ace Theatre for two dates in support of their their “It Could Have Been a Brilliant Career” series. On Monday and Tuesday, the Scottish band will play songs from the reissues vinyl series, which is now available via Matador. Frontman Stuart Murdoch may even talk about “God Help the Girl,” the film which he and the band wrote together.
