‣ L.A. indie-rockers Afternoons celebrate the long-awaited release of their full-length “Say Yes” [check it out here] with a show at El Cid. Opening the evening are the Little Ones and Aaron Espinoza of Earlimart.
‣ Pop singer Lana Del Rey performs the first of two nights on the Fairbanks Lawn at Hollywood Forever Cemetery behind her new album “Ultraviolence.”
‣ Canadian indie-rockers the New Pornographers at the Wiltern behind their first album in four years, “Brill Bruisers.”
‣ Brooklyn-based St. Lucia teams up with Haerts for a show at the Fonda Theatre.
‣ Day 2 of the Culture Collide festival goes off multiple venues in Echo Park, offering up Cloud Nothings, Nina Persson, the Young Wild and Beat Connection, along with the Mercy Beat, Simon, Monokino, Fractures, Level & Tyson, Sleep Thieves, Autostrad, Nothing But Thieves, Eden Roberts, Phebe Starr, Takeoffs & Landings, Banoffee, From the Airport, Taymir, Gossling, Bad//Dreams, Dune Rats, Popstrangers, Solander, We Met Tomorrow, Dorine Levy and the Kokoro.
