Video: Slow Club, ‘Everything Is New’

1

Hungry yet? English folk-rock and pop duo Slow Club may have a few suggestions for lunch. Although members Rebecca Taylor and Charles Watson are currently back in the U.K. for a tour in support of their latest album “Complete Surrender,” they teamed up with directing duo Andrea Sisson & Pete Ohs to film at a handful of their favorite L.A. food joints during their U.S. tour back in September and October. The song accompanying clips of Watson continuously stuffing his face while giving Taylor only a single bite is a bit more melancholic than the deadpan stares, but somehow it works. At one point, Watson swats Taylor’s hand away from his hot dog and fries at Pink’s in Hollywood, but it doesn’t affect his demeanor toward the camera. Watson also eats at Jim’s Burger in Boyle Heights, El Siete Mares and Tacos Delta in Silver Lake, and Foster’s Freeze in Eagle Rock. Did you guess correctly for each location? Go reward yourself with a taco. Slow Club’s “Complete Surrender” is out now via Wichita Recordings.
