KCSN2014NEW-500Still on a high from another weekend of seemingly endless summer, I convene this week’s edition of the L.A Buzz Bands Show at 9 tonight on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org). What in store? New arrivals from Jutty Ranx, BØRNS, Milo Greene, Spelles, Criminal Hygiene, PhoenixBlood, Taylor Locke and Christian Letts, along with scrumptious tunes from Henry Wolfe and Buddy. For this week’s “Flashback Track,” I’ll rewind to 2007 for a song (and album, for that matter) that deserved a better fate. All told, it’s as much music as I can possibly pack into a one-hour show, and it’s itemized below:

Jutty Ranx, “I See You”
BØRNS, “Electric Love”
The Dead Ships, “Canyon”
Criminal Hygiene, “Turpentine”
Spelles, “Bird in a Cage”
Milo Greene, “White Lies”
PhoenixBlood, “Hollow Man”
Buddy, “Fault Lines”
Ariel Pink, “Put Your Number in My Phone”
Taylor Locke, “Running Away From Love”
Christian Letts, “Charles de Gaulle”
** CoCo B’s, “Modern Lover”
Avid Dancer, “I Want to See You Dance”
Henry Wolfe, “Encino”
Clockwise, “Hopeless”

** From the 2007 self-titled album from the SoCal quartet.
