Heavy lifting for your Wednesday:
‣ Tame Impala hasn’t released an album since 2012, but the Australians’ “Live Versions,” which came out this summer, gave fans alternate takes of nine of the band’s favorites. They headline the Shrine Auditorium tonight, supported by Delicate Steve.
‣ Long-running art rockers Blonde Redhead do ahve a new album – “Barragán,” which came out in September – and the trio visits the Fonda Theatre. Get there early for Dot Hacker.
‣ Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit headline the Wiltern behind their new album “Gold.”
‣ L.A.-based French singer SoKo, whose new album will come out in early 2015, detours from her current run supporting Foster the People on tour to do a headlining show at the Bootleg HiFi.
‣ Young shredder Jordan Cook – aka Reignwolf – cuts loose at the Mint, with the Grizzled Mighty and the Tontons opening.
‣ Chicago’s Twin Peaks [see “Making Breakfast”] rock the Echo, supported by Criminal Hygiene, Meatbodies and Modern Vices.
‣ New Orleans duo Generationals plays the Troubadour behind their new album “Alix,” with Springtime Carnivore (the self-titled debut album just out as well) opening.
‣ And Clockwise continues a Wednesday night residency at the Satellite, with Intergalactix opening.
