It’s funny how the blankest of stares can actually indicate the most elaborate of daydreams. Angel Olsen‘s Rick Alverson-directed clip for her song “Windows” demonstrates exactly this as the singer-songwriter almost seems lost in a vast field and while children smear gunk on her face. In her mind, she is getting dolled up and bring presented as the greatest from the Elizabethan age. The track is from the deluxe edition of her album “Burn Your Fire For No Witness,” one of the many albums that will be making our year-end list for 2014.
