‣ Art-rockers Kan Wakan close out a big year with a show at the Troubadour behind their album “Moving On.” Singer-pianist Niia opens.
‣ L.A. rockers Dear Boy have a bunch of new songs in their arsenal, and they will unveil some tonight at the Bootleg HiFi, where Nightmare Air and Halfbluud support.
‣ James Blake [pictured] previews music from his forthcoming third album at a show at the Roxy Theatre.
‣ Swedish metal, anyone? Opeth and In Flames bring their co-headlining tour to the Hollywood Palladium, with Portland’s Red Fang supporting.
‣ Eastern Conference Champions, Some Go Haunting and PARIS team up for a benefit show at the Ham & Eggs Tavern – proceeds go to the Los Angeles Mission.
‣ His new release “The Blue Album” just out today, electro-pop guy JMSN plays the Echo, supported by Olivver and Spelles.
‣ Augustana headlines the Fonda Theatre behind their latest, “Life Imitating Life,” with Scars on 45 supporting.
