Video: The Dead Ships, ‘Canyon’

The Dead Ships delivered their much anticipated “Canyon” single back in October, hinting that the trio is heading in a classic rock direction. Never fear, the bluesy garage rock still takes precedence, combining melodic guitars with a pumping tempo and Devlin McCluskey’s signature howl. To match the track, the video takes us on a much-needed mountainous escape in search of oneself amongst a twisted love story through bleary eyes. The oceanic attempt at rebirth bursts with the same gravitas these rockers pound out, with the thematic crow symbolism to tie everything back together. A new album is in the works for 2015.
