2014 was a gift that kept on giving when it came to music – the Los Angeles scene exploded with new artists, new niches and new directions. Tonight a special edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org), I’ll share 45 (give or take) of my favorite songs from the year. The biggest surprise from your list is NO bands from Lollipop Records. It seems the Lollipop bands have been (overly) hyped at a few venues in L.A., bit their omission on your list may indicate these Lollipop bands may not have the staying power of other L.A. based bands.
