How to ring in 2015 – you know the part about staying safe, right?

‣ The second annual NYE in downtown Los Angeles’ Grand Park is doubling its capacity. This year, Mr. Little Jeans, Made In Heights, Breakestra, Dorothy, Ceci Bastida, Run River North, KCRW DJ Garth Trinidad and more join the 3D projections, food trucks and fun. Three stages of music. ‣ “Let’s Party NYE” at The Park Plaza brings the likes of Blood Orange [pictured], Classixx, De Lux and more to the legendary venue. $125 and up. Tickets.

The Standard downtown has another year of A Club Called Rhonda presents Rhondapolis. This time around, it’s a 13-floor “utopia” featuring a Hot Chip DJ set, Jimmy Edgar, Peanut Butter Wolf, J. Rocc and more. $175. Tickets.

Downtown Long Beach will be hopping – Fitz & The Tantrums [pictured] head up a lineup that includes Youngblood Hawke, Mystery Skulls, the New Electric Sound and the Knitts. The party goes off on Pine Avenue between First and Fourth streets. $25.

‣ Meanwhile at The Standard Hollywood, Joey Arias is performing at the first annual black and white masquerade ball. $195. Tickets.

‣ No cover at the Ace Hotel in downtown LA which is not only celebrating NYE but also Twin Shadow‘s forthcoming album, Eclipse, aptly titling the freebie night Eclipse. Pegauss Warning and Black Gatsby also perform. RSVP.
