L.A. Buzz Bands Show, tonight at 9 on KCSN

There’s no more appropriate way to usher in the new year than with new music, and I’ll have a raft of it on tonight’s L.A. Buzz Bands Show. Join me at 9 p.m. on KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) for the premiere of songs from Auditorium (the golden-throated Spencer Berger) and Imaginary Persons (the psych rock-inclined Tommy Alexander), along with some equally fresh music from Le Noire, Seasons, Dutch Party, the Bad Years and Seagoat. You’ll hear from some of the bands doing free Monday night residencies this month too, including Sego, Wildling and the Fontaines. For tonight’s “Flashback Track,” we’ll go back to 2005 for a little mid-Aughts power-pop. Below, tonight’s playlist, subject to last-minute tweaks:
Le Noire, “Fire”
Imaginary Persons, “Goin’ On”
Sego, “Wicket Youth”
Wildling, “Like You Do (feat. Grace Kelly)”
Moons of Mars, “Holiday”
Auditorium, “My Grandfather Could Make the World Dance”
The Fontaines, “Dustin Hoffman”
Tall Tales and the Silver Lining, “Something to Believe In”
Dutch Party, “Paper Moon”
The Bad Years, “Common Mistake”
