KCSN2014NEW-500Hard to feel anything resembling the mid-winter blues on days like this in L.A., right? So enjoy your summer-like Sunday and tune into KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) at 9 tonight for the L.A. Buzz Bands Show. My forecast calls for new music from Monarch, Howls, Avid Dancer, Dutch Party, Go Betty Go and Milo Greene. Oh, there are songs from Letts, the Fontaines and Virginia Reed as well. And for this week’s “Flashback Track,” I’ll take a moment to mark the 15th anniversary of the passing of singer-songwriter Josh Clayton-Felt, who brightened lives with his music in School of Fish and as a solo artist. Join me at 9 p.m., won’t you? Below, subject to last-minute tweaking, this week’s playlist:

Dutch Party, “Echo Girl”
Monarch, “Stay”
Milo Greene, “White Lies”
Phoenix Blood, “Hollow Man”
Mount Saint, “Criminal”
Hanni El Khatib, “Melt Me”

** Josh Clayton-Felt, “Building Atlantis”

** “Flashback Track,” from the posthumously released 2002 album “Spirit Touches Ground” by singer-songwriter Josh Clayton-Felt, the co-founder the the 1990s rock band School of Fish who went on to release three solo albums. Clayton-Felt died of cancer 15 years ago this week, at age 32.
